About half way to Chico I got nailed by a nasty rain storm
I had guessed incorrectly that I would make it around the storm.
Soooo I had not put on the rain gear. I always do that, don't know why
I bother taking the rain suit, I always think I can beat the rain & get wet.
Its chilly when you get rained on @ 70 mph and 3500 feet.
I had the half helmet on & there was a couple of min when it started hailing
it so sucks getting pelted in the face with ice @ 70

OK, I make it out of the rain storm, and keep going
eventually it warms up & the air dries me out!
Very happy about that.

I end up stopping for gas at some gas station off I5 that is so
out of the way they don't even take credit cards. While Im  filling up the bike
I discover I have a hitchhiker. Seems a yellow jacket had been hitching 
a ride in the sweat shirt hood & was a bit upset about the gas stop.
After making his feelings known by stinging me in the back of the neck
he was last seen flying off in a huff!

I kept going ended up in Chico about 500pm
checked into the hotel, then off to dinner!
Called Markie & TJ trying to connect, left messages, 
off to bed early!
